Technologies for more efficiency in Water and Wastewater at FENASAN 2026

The National Sanitation and Environment Fair (FENASAN) in Brazil, held alongside the 37th AESabesp Technical Meeting from October 20 to 22, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Green and Red Pavilions at Expo Center Norte in São Paulo, once again solidifies its position as the largest environmental Water and Wastewater event in the Americas.

With an estimated gathering of hundreds of exhibitors and over 15,000 visitors and conference attendees, the event serves as one of the primary meeting points for professionals, managers, system integrators, utilities, and technology companies.

Throughout the 3-day program, the sector will discuss key topics such as resilience in the face of extreme weather events, decarbonization, artificial intelligence, and the technological pathways to achieving universal sanitation targets.

Nexto XF Series represents Altus’s new generation of micro PLCs, combining high-density onboard I/O points with a platform designed for edge computing. In raw water intake and deep well applications, the Nexto XF Series analyzes flow rate and water quality variables locally before transmitting consolidated data to the control center. In large-scale Water Treatment Plants (WTP) and Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP), the NX3035 ensures complete operational continuity. This CPU is the ideal choice for controlling and monitoring highly complex treatment plants, managing coagulant dosing, flocculation, and filter backwashing stages in real time. PH3500 performs measurement and remote monitoring of three-phase electrical energy parameters via the Modbus TCP/IP protocol, including active and reactive energy consumption, power factor, and harmonic distortion.

Because pumping stations are the largest energy consumers in the sanitation sector, the PH3500 directly supports energy management for these facilities. By integrating it into the supervisory system, managers can track motor electrical efficiency in real time, avoiding low power factor penalties and scheduling high-demand operations outside peak tariff hours.
