Discover how our solution can improve your hydroelectric power generation unit:

High Availability Control
The typical architecture of a UAC consists of a main HX Series rack with redundant power supplies and CPU, where the processors communicate via the DNP3 protocol. The system also has other racks with HX Series input/output modules for control and data acquisition.

Distributed Systems
The high-availability system requires the use of thousands of distributed I/O points, in various conventional or pressurized remote locations, interconnected to the process modules through robust and secure field networks. This ensures accuracy, reliability, and efficiency in the collection and transmission of data critical.

Remote Supervision and Control
The solution offers an advanced Remote Supervision and Control system, ensuring precise control and efficient monitoring. With communication via Ethernet and DNP3 protocol, IRIG-B synchronization, and MODBUS-RTU support, it provides high reliability and performance for remote operations.

Communication Networks
The architecture utilizes a redundant dual-ring solution to improve network availability. The dual ring is interconnected through special switches with two optical ports, which increases system reliability because, in the event of an incident in one of the rings, the plant will continue operating through the redundant ring.

Exceptional Robustness and Performance with HX Series RTUs
Built in accordance with international standards IEC 61850 and IEC 61131-3, the Remote Terminal Units (RTUs) from the HX Series are perfectly suited for managing power generation, transmission, and distribution processes.
The series products feature standout functionalities, such as redundant power supplies, redundant CPUs in a rack, DNP3 and IEC 61850 (MMS and GOOSE) protocols, and compliance with ONS submodule 2.7.
With an extremely rugged design, HX RTUs are built to operate in harsh environments, including areas with mechanical vibrations or extreme temperatures. Their immunity to electrostatic discharges and electromagnetic interference makes them well-suited for use in power plants and near high-voltage equipment.
