Prediction Maintenance System

Predictive Maintenance System Solution

The system developed for the CBO Guanabara vessel aims to monitor the vibration, temperature, and rotation of the bearings in the ship's gearboxes, allowing for the collection of data to assess the wear stage of the gearboxes online.

Predictive Maintenance System for the CBO Guanabara

Altus was selected to develop the Predictive Maintenance System for the CBO Guanabara, a vessel operated by the Brazilian Offshore Company (CBO). This solution analyzes the data collected, allowing operators to detect wear, potential gearbox issues, and assess the remaining lifespan of the bearings, as well as identify any misalignment or imbalance.

By analyzing historical data, the system helps predict potential failures and schedule maintenance proactively. This forward-thinking approach has attracted attention and is promoting CBO’s new maintenance strategy, which emphasizes efficiency, speed, and safety.

Remote Supervision System with SCADA/HMI BluePlant

Remote Supervision System with SCADA/HMI BluePlant

This solution builds on the existing Remote Supervision and Predictive Maintenance System onboard the vessel. It uses Altus’s SCADA/HMI BluePlant supervisory software, which consolidates data from electronic units that monitor vibration and temperature. Once collected and processed onboard, this data is sent to CBO’s Operations Base onshore, where the maintenance team can analyze the condition and remaining service life of the monitored equipment.

The Remote Supervision System is designed to meet the key goals of predictive maintenance: maximizing uptime, improving machine reliability, preventing damage escalation, and enhancing the safety of the onboard crew responsible for vessel operations.
