Altus presents high availability technologies at ROG.e 2026

ROG.e 2026 is one of the energy industry’s main global events, bringing together key leaders in oil, gas, offshore, energy transition, and technological innovation from September 21 to 24, 2026, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Known as “The world’s largest energy festival,” the event serves as a hub for knowledge sharing and strategic business, connecting global operators, engineering firms, and technology suppliers.

We arrive at the event in Hall 3, Booth M06, backed by a strong presence in the O&G market: supporting 18% of Brazilian oil and gas production and 30% of Pre-Salt production, with active operations on 27 platforms, accounting for approximately 3% of the world’s FPSO fleet.

NX3035: high performance redundancy for critical processes

The NX3035 is one of the most rugged units in the Nexto Series. Designed to meet high availability requirements in continuous processes and critical systems where failure is not an option, this CPU features a 64-bit architecture and native support for hot-standby redundancy via dedicated SFP optical interfaces. This ensures real-time data synchronization and bumpless, instant switchover between units without impacting the control loop, guaranteeing uninterrupted operations.

In the oil and gas sector, the NX3035 is deployed in process safety systems and automation across offshore platforms. The equipment delivers extensive connectivity through six Ethernet ports and compatibility with major industrial protocols such as OPC UA, PROFINET, EtherCAT, and Modbus TCP, alongside encrypted VPN support, enabling secure remote monitoring and mitigating operational risks.

NX3008: a global CPU for your business

This CPU stands out with the high performance computing power of an ARM 64-bit 1 GHz processor, capable of executing over 1,000 PID loops in just 2 milliseconds and managing more than 2,000 I/O points.

Its key differentiator is the embedded Docker platform, which enables edge computing by enabling analytical applications, local databases, and custom algorithms developed in modern languages such as Python to run directly on the controller. This flexibility simplifies control decentralization across refineries and FPSOs, enabling on-device pre-processing of vibration, temperature, and flow data.

The CPU also features support for PROFINET ring topologies with ultra-fast recovery times, an embedded WebServer for SCADA-independent visualizations, built-in firewall security, and DNV certification, attesting to its ruggedness in harsh marine and offshore installations.

Nexto NX modules: solutions from control to predictive maintenance

The Nexto NX Series features an extensive selection of digital, analog, and mixed input/output modules engineered to process the complex signal environments typical of chemical plants and offshore oil platforms.

A key operational advantage of the series is hot swapping, which enables the replacement of any faulty module while the rack remains energized and the controller is in full execution, eliminating unscheduled downtime during maintenance procedures.

Maintenance convenience is further enhanced by features such as Easy Plug removable terminal blocks and the One Touch Diag system, which displays full channel-level fault diagnostics directly on the module’s front display. This helps reduce Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) and boosts panel availability, even under severe vibration, dust, and corrosive atmospheres thanks to conformal coating protection.

HART Modules

Integration between automation systems and smart field devices is streamlined through the NX6014 (analog inputs) and NX6134 (analog outputs) modules, which offer native support for HART technology.

Rather than being restricted to standard 4 to 20 mA analog signals, these modules establish a bidirectional digital bridge. Field instrument variables travel over this link without compromising the update rate of the main control loop.

Access to internal transmitter diagnostics enables early identification of issues such as calibration drift, sensor failure, and impulse line clogging. In valve positioner applications, HART-enabled modules support remote Partial Stroke Testing (PST), verifying the integrity of emergency shutdown (ESD) actuators without interrupting production, enabling smart, secure instrumentation management.

PROFINET Module

The NX5104 is a bus head module within the Nexto architecture that allows for modular distribution of I/O racks across process skids, electrical rooms, and remote plant locations. This distributed capability minimizes the need for long, multi-core cables, optimizing panel and cable tray layouts on oil platforms and FPSO modules.

Operating over Ethernet networks, the module establishes high-speed, real-time communication across different automation points, ensuring interoperability among multi-vendor systems.

The NX5104 also supports transparent HART data pass-through over PROFINET, enabling asset management software to access field instrumentation connected to remote modules with complete data integrity.

Atta Series: precision and reliability for HART instrumentation

The Atta Series encompasses differential and absolute pressure transmitters, head-mount and DIN rail temperature transmitters, as well as smart positioners for linear and rotary valves. All products are developed in compliance with the HART 7 protocol and feature 24-bit analog-to-digital converter measurement circuits, ensuring high stability in thermodynamic variable readings and fast response times.

Engineered for the continuous monitoring of aggressive fluids, gases, and steam, the Atta Series also features rugged enclosures certified for hazardous areas and multifunctional rotating displays with local adjustment via magnetic key, eliminating the need to open the housing in explosive atmospheres. Its broad compatibility with tools based on EDDL and FDT/DTM standards guarantees fast calibration, dynamic monitoring, and maximum reliability in critical signal acquisition.

LoRa gateway: integrated and flexible communication

The GW700 is a gateway engineered to build reliable bridges between wireless sensor networks based on LoRaWAN technology and industrial plant Ethernet networks.

Designed for outdoor installation in harsh environments, the equipment features an IP67-rated enclosure providing complete immunity against dust and water, as well as resistance to wide operating temperature ranges.

In petrochemical complexes, tank farms, and hard-to-reach areas, GW700 captures wireless measurements transmitted by sub-gigahertz distributed nodes and routes them directly to SCADA servers or cloud environments via protocols such as MQTT.

IoT gateway: stable communication with advanced networking features

The TLE model, part of our Connect Series, is an advanced IoT gateway designed to meet the rigorous demands of telemetry and secure remote access across dispersed networks. The equipment integrates Ethernet ports, an RS-232/RS-485 serial channel with smart data conversion, a Wi-Fi interface, and a 4G/LTE Cat 4 modem with dual Micro SIM support for automatic carrier failover.

Cybersecurity for data transmission is ensured by a stateful packet inspection (SPI) firewall, intrusion prevention system (IPS) mechanisms, and IPSec and OpenVPN tunnels.

In onshore wells, gas metering stations, and remote pipelines, the TLE simultaneously connects legacy serial devices and modern IP equipment to control centers while protecting the network against cyber threats.

NL717 Datalogger: precise data collection

The NL717 is a compact DIN-rail-mounted datalogger that combines embedded processing power, high-precision 16-bit isolated analog inputs, high-speed digital channels, and multiple communication ports, including an integrated LoRa radio, Ethernet, and a standard SDI-12 serial bus.

Its applications include hydrometeorological telemetry, structural integrity monitoring in pipelines, and operational variable measurement in unstaffed wells. The NL717 logs collected data with strict timestamping in non-volatile memory and automatically retransmits historical data via OPC UA or MQTT to central servers as soon as network connectivity is restored, ensuring complete data traceability in remote locations.

X2 PRO Series HMIs: ruggedness and reliability

The X2 PRO Series HMIs features high performance graphics operator terminals with widescreen touchscreens ranging from 4 to 21 inches.

Engineered with die-cast aluminum enclosures, IP65 protection, and conformal-coated electronics, these HMIs withstand extreme temperature variations, mechanical shock, and highly saline marine environments. The terminals offer rugged connectivity through dual Ethernet interfaces and isolated serial ports, as well as VNC client remote access capabilities for off-site operation and technical support.

X2 PRO HMIs are deployed for local machine control on decks, drilling consoles, and process panels across floating platforms, providing operators with clear and intuitive process visualization.

ArchiteX is an asset management software designed under the open FDT Frame Application standard, enabling complete centralization of configuration, calibration, and diagnostics for multi-vendor smart devices through their respective DTM drivers.

The solution eliminates the need for proprietary software tools and isolated field procedures, unifying the management of all plant instrumentation within a single environment. Natively integrated with Nexto controllers via protocols like HART-IP and HART over PROFINET, ArchiteX automatically scans the network topology, identifies connected instruments, and continuously monitors operational health parameters.

By providing event history logs and preventive alerts regarding sensor and actuator status, the software delivers the data required to drive predictive maintenance routines.
